Use CC effects (including slows) to fill the boss' Stagger Bar quickly and blow it up once staggered. Open up on Andariel once you get her into a Staggered state. If your character is not in range, ignore the Rune Chains and keep damaging Andariel. We suggest instantly switching to DPS a Rune Chain down as soon as it appears with your character in the range of its AOE. These pull the player in and open them up to Andariel's attacks they activate quickly, with a circle AOE effect pulling you in. ![]() ![]() While her charge and magic attacks are deadly, they can combine with Rune Chains that spawn during the fight. Quickly take care of the Rune Chains when they spawn. If you managed to get boots with a +1 Evade charge affix, that will help a lot here. We suggest waiting until the boss telegraphs a charge and running around the huge boss fight area, staying on the move. The first and most important thing you need to know to beat Andariel is that she hits exceptionally hard, has throws out long lines of magic that we can only describe as pain. As Andariel's title, "Maiden of Anguish," might suggest, she delivers the pain at the end of Diablo 4 Act IV, "A Gathering Storm." This was the first story boss in Diablo 4 that gave us trouble during our review period, as Andariel can be quite difficult to beat. (Picture: Blizzard) With some basic gear sorted, use the Occultist to upgrade your items into Legendaries, then focus on increasing your level and Renown.Please note: This guide does contain story spoilers for this portion of the game's campaign you've been warned. These dungeons serve as a good source of armor and weapon drops whenever you need to upgrade every item on your character. Open a few until you receive a Sigil, then run the dungeon that gets marked on your map. If you don't have one in your consumables tab, you can find them in Tree of Whispers reward caches. Keep an eye out for Sacred drops, as these items tend to roll with higher affix values.Īs for more general drops, you can't go wrong with Nightmare Dungeons. Focus on unlocking weapon chests to get a weapon upgrade ASAP. For example, Amulet Tortured Chests will always drop at least one amulet. Killing these demons will grant Aberrant Cinders which can be used to open Tortured Chests, forcing items of a specific slot type to drop. A portion of your map will glow red and start spawning demonic enemies. This is a world state that lasts for an hour, occurring randomly throughout the day. Gear up your character by farming Helltide. A good starting point is to focus on unlocking World Tier 3: Nightmare difficulty.Īll content in World Tier 3 is set to level 53 or higher, so it's important that you acquire weapon upgrades as soon as possible. There's a ton to do once you beat the campaign, so it's best to take these systems one at a time. You'll also have the Renown and Altars of Lilith grinds ahead of you, granting small boosts to character power as you progress either system. Beat this to unlock the final World Tier and access even harder Nightmare Dungeons.
